Editorial policy

We sell a device that measures erections, and we publish articles about erections. Those two facts sit next to each other on every page of this library, so here is exactly how the writing is produced, sourced and checked.

How we write and review

  • Every health article is written against published research, and the primary sources are linked in the article.
  • Articles that make a clinical claim are reviewed by a physician before publication, and the reviewer is named on the page.
  • We say plainly when we are describing our own product or our own research.
  • We correct and re-date articles when the evidence moves, rather than quietly editing them.

Who writes and reviews

53 articles in this library are written by our editorial team and medically reviewed before publication. Both roles are named on every article, and each name links to a full profile.

Our wider medical advisory board — urologists at Memorial Sloan Kettering, Baylor College of Medicine and elsewhere — validates the research behind the device and advises on the clinical content.

How we source claims

Where an article rests on evidence, we link the primary source — the peer-reviewed paper, the academic body, the medical institution — rather than a summary of it. Those links are collected under each article so you can check them without hunting through the text. Where something is our own research, published or presented, we say so and name the venue.

Where the evidence is genuinely mixed, we say that too. Several articles here describe findings that point in opposite directions, and we would rather leave the tension visible than resolve it in our own favour.

Our commercial interest

FirmTech makes the TechRing, the Performance Ring and MaxPR. When an article mentions one of our products, it is our product and we label it as such. We do not publish comparisons that hide who wrote them, and we do not present our own marketing copy as independent review.

Articles in this library were originally published on our Shopify storefront between 2022 and 2026. When they moved here they were restructured, re-titled and given new URLs, and the claims in them were left as published rather than quietly revised. Where an older article needs rewriting, it gets rewritten and re-dated, not edited in place.

This is health information, not medical advice

FirmTech makes the devices discussed on this site, and we say so wherever they come up. Our articles are written against published research and reviewed by a physician, but they cannot account for your history, your medications or your symptoms. Nothing here diagnoses or treats a condition. If something has changed and it worries you, see a clinician.

Corrections

If something here is wrong, tell us and we will fix it and say that we did. Write to our team with the article and what you think is inaccurate.
