Wearing overnight takes some getting used to and I found it best to build up to that over time. Definitely works as intended in both the data collection and functionality. I also use the FirmTech non-tech rings on occasion as well and they are easy to use and effective. A lot of work went into this by Elliot and his team and you can tell! Very innovative.

I decided to purchase the TechRing before having any noticeable problems, so I can track any changes as I age. So far, it’s really great to know what is going on with my body during my sleep and other activities. Speaking of the other activities, both the TechRing and the Max Performance Ring (purchased as a combo) bring added pleasure and sensations (more so with the Max PR) when being intimate with my wife. It did take a few nights of wearing the TechRing for it to feel comfortable, but then it’s not very noticeable. I wouldn’t recommend wearing it multiple nights in a row as this caused some minor swelling in some parts of my flaccid glans & foreskin, which was a little freaky but it went away later in the day. Wearing either one during sex is barely noticeable and they both increased performance. I really like reviewing the graphs and averages, and I look forward to noticing any significant effects from various medications, supplements, or aging. I also like the health early warning potential from being able to monitor changes that aren’t normally tracked. Not that I’m trying to artificially increase my numbers, but I wouldn’t wear the TechRing all night right after engaging in sex as I’ve noticed the number of erections is reduced for that night (at least for me). I recommend wearing the TechRing all night to monitor natural erections and then having sex in the morning to get good readings for both. While the TechRing is a little pricey, as a medical tool and given all the info that it provides, along with the boost to performance, it’s well worth it!

I had a radical prostatectomy eight months ago. Fortunately, the surgeon preserved the nerve structure around my prostate. This gave me the chance to eventually recover my erectile function. My progress was gradual during the months after the surgery. Every day, I took a 5 mg dose of Tadadafil (Cialis), used the Vacurect pump, and incorporated pelvic exercise Ito my strength training. By month five, I could attain an 80% erection but could not maintain it during intercourse. My urologist recommended the Caverject injection to get me across the finish line. I gave that a try but it was extremely painful and did not deliver the desired results. Penile injection therapy was not going to be part of my recovery plan. I hoped that my recovery would continue and I would organically regain my sexual function. By month seven, I was periodically waking up to a morning erection but I was unsure if I was getting erections during the night. I knew that spontaneous nocturnal erections were an important recovery indicator. I heard about the FirmTech TechRing and the Performance and Max rings on the Penis Project podcast. I had prostate surgery 2 years ago and still dealing with ED. The Tech Ring does 2 things for me in that regard: 1. It tells me about the all important nocturnal erections and how strong they are. How else can you tell what is going on while you sleep? This is information I can share with my urologist. 2. It is a very comfortable cock ring the helps me get and keep an erection. When wearing it during solo play, I have had a couple erections measure a 10 that lasted for more than 40 minutes. The replacement ring works great. I’m using it to see if one of my medications is making my ED worse. If you have ED I recommend giving this a try.

I have used it for a few days now, (not in a row) and have learned so much in such little time. Already making changes in habits due to what I learned. My only complaint is the size of the font for the instruction card! Way too tiny, so got frustrated at first trying to find the power button....! So maybe at least 8 pt? (LOL)

This device provides amazingly accurate and useful information about how the erection process works. I’ve discovered things about myself I didn’t know. I'm a data nerd. I track almost every aspect of my life...but this was one I had not yet explored. As a man of a certain age, let's just say things felt...less than optimal. Now I could quantify that and find ways to improve it! Seeing my nocturnal activity was quite enlightening! I didn't feel like I woke up all that often with morning erections, but I also didn't realize that I still had erections pretty regularly corresponding with REM sleep (though not necessarily any sort of erotic dream). I also discovered that my waking erections were typically stronger than those in my sleep, and wearing looser boxers tended to produce stronger nocturnal erections. In any case, it's fascinating data and well worth it to track during both sleep and solo or partnered activity. One caveat. USE LUBE!!! I recommend a nice long lasting silicone or hybrid lube, especially for overnight wear. If you don't? You may (like me) end up with very angry and chafed skin in a very unpleasant place. The trick is using enough lube to keep things comfortable without using so much that the ring just slips right off (especially if like me your boys tend to hide and ride a bit higher to begin with). Definitely worth the price. Only taking one star off because of the chafing. 😂

I had Robot Assisted Radical Prostatectomy in December 2024 (due to cancer). One of the unfortunate side effects of the surgery is Erectile Disfunction. I have used this for nighttime monitoring and also for solo sessions and penile rehab. It feels good to wear most of the time but it can start to feel uncomfortable after a while if it is dry and pinches some areas. I highly recommend using lubricants where this contacts your skin. The Sliquid lubricant works well for this, a small amount is all you need. I have noticed some times it does not seem to detect some of my nocturnal activity. I will wake up and see that I have a partial erection but the recording of the session does not show it or shows a lower number than other recordings with similar size erections. I have figured out it works best if it is fully charged on the red charger ring before sleeping sessions. In my experience if I use the Tech Ring for a solo session (using vacuum pump to get fully erect - then install the Tech Ring) and then later use it for a sleep session, it seems like It doesn’t detect as well. My theory is that it recalibrates when you put it on the charger. The nocturnal erections are an encouraging sign that the nerves are healing from the surgery! Lastly, some times I will wake up in the middle of the night and have trouble getting back to sleep because this ring is there. I think it is slightly stimulating. That is not a fault of the product, just my own mental issue. I do like the Tech Ring and will continue to use it a few times a week for as long as I can.

This is an amazing piece of technology. I had a my prostate removed last year so determining my erectile status is important. This helps to track my nocturnal erections.

Unfortunately, I did not see the fine print (still cant find it in the marketing hype on the site) that advised agains use by dudes with STD, STI, or HPV I did try it out, and it does a good job of monitoring NEs and Morning Wood which was helpful to my urologist, but too anxious about using it when my HPV infection is active.

I give the app one star. It's beta development software, at best. It's poorly designed and very buggy. The thing I really don't like about it is that I requires an internet connection to be used. If you are in a remote rural location, the TechRing cannot be used. Also, your personal session data is not locally stored on the your phone. Instead each session is uploaded Firmtech's servers and the data is processed at the company. That's fine that's the way they want to do it. However there is no way for you to download and save your personal session data on your phone or computer. They only allow a lame summary report to be downloaded. So until the app is properly redesigned, I give this product two stars. With a properly functioning app, this product has the potential for five stars!

I’ve tried to wear it at time during the day to try to get used to it. The few times I was able to get through the night with it on it gave me some good information. I’m going to keep trying for a while yet. Hopefully it will get better. I am somewhat disappointed that I broke a band already though.

It doesn’t record very well. Even during sex, it said I did not have an erection.

I bought this in hopes I could run it but it eludes me. Can't understand the directions and then it don't let me in because it needs a password. Very disappointed. I would waste my money on it.
